- Ummmmmm let me see here, putpixel, drawLine, full sound, ect.... all looks
- like a framework to me NOT a language. You need to seperate the two, I did
- indeed praise Java for it's great multiplatform support it is indeed the
- ONLY redeming quality of what we call Java. Java as a language however
- sucks, plain and simple.
-
- You don't need Java persay to get all of these things, you do need someone
- to write them true, but the selling points of Java could have been
- achieved wthout the baggage of a new language. And the language as I
- stated is not really all that great. As a matter of fact, as I stated, it
- is downright painful to work in.
-
- You have yet to tell me why the Language Java is so great.

- Unfortunately I used it for about four weeks putting together a prototype
- of a much larger system which I expect to spend most of my summer on. It
- was not a weekend bash that led me to this conclusion. I won't deny that I
- am a C++ bigot, however, I have used SmallTalk and Lisp both and would
- rather use either of them than Java.
